Boston Voice Lessons strives to give you quality instruction to help you achieve your goals as a singer and vocalist whether it be to sing with more power, increase your range, reduce strain in your voice, or prepare for shows and auditions.
Some of you may think that singing is really hard but it is easy to become a good singer with a little training and dedication. Any singer you hear on the radio today has had vocal training. People with a “natural” talent for singing are few and far between.
When it comes to voice lessons, working with an experienced voice coach is a must.
I wasted a lot of time and money with inexperienced voice coaches over the years, which is why I only hire qualified and trained voice teachers. You won’t find any beginner voice teachers at our facility. Training in the wrong way can be dangerous for your voice and our goal is to help you get the voice you want without strain
What will you get in your lessons?
1. Step-by-Step Instruction On Basic To Advanced Vocal Techniques
You will learn how to slowly increase your range and power in an incremental and healthy way according to your skill level. Your teacher will first evaluate your voice to see what issues you are having and will systematically use vocal exercises to correct the problems.
2. Help Understanding Your Vocal Range And Good Song Selection
Every singer has a sweet spot to their voice and your teacher will help you find and develop your range. Not only that, your teacher will help you select songs that you enjoy that are in your range or will help you rearrange songs to fit your strengths.
3. Live Performance Opportunities
While not required, most singers start taking singing lessons because they are itching to perform live. We offer two professional live performance opportunities to our singers. Your teacher will help you prep a song or two which you perform alone or with other students to supportive members of our music community.
4. Audition, Performance And Recording Help
While not all of our students want to become rock stars, a number of students have gone on to perform on stage, record albums and audition for musical theater parts both locally and on Broadway. Our singing teachers can help you prepare for high pressure situations so that you can put your best product forward.
Getting Started Is Easy…
We have helped many students just like you learn to play the guitar. This includes students who thought they were not talented enough, too old to learn an instrument, or not creative or musically inclined. We have even worked with students who have played guitar on their own for years and feel like they are stuck and looking for a different perspective on their learning.
